Welcome to Place of Encounter Church, a multicultural Pentecostal Christian church located in Toronto, Canada. Our church is dedicated to encountering the presence of God through biblical teaching, worship, and prayer, with a strong emphasis on community transformation. We are committed to serving multicultural families and newcomers to Canada, providing support for children and families, including those with exceptional needs. At Place of Encounter Church, we promote the presence of the Holy Spirit, healing, restoration, and strong biblical teaching. Our mission is to create a warm, spiritually inspiring, modern, and easy-to-navigate environment for individuals and families seeking faith. Statement of Faith

Place of Encounter – Family Worship Church

The Holy Scripture We believe the Bible is a God-inspired book, written by men for inspiration, instruction, and the revelation of God's plan for humanity. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12-13
The Holy Trinity We believe there is but one living and true God — everlasting, immortal, and the Creator of all things, both visible and invisible — existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. John 1:3; 1 Timothy 1:17
Jesus Christ We believe that Jesus, the Son, is the expressed image of God — completely human and completely God — conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Through His death on the cross, burial, and resurrection, He made atonement once and for all for our sins. Matthew 1:23; John 3:16; John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 1 John 1:7-9
Eternal Life We believe in eternal life with God through Jesus Christ, His Son. Matthew 25:46; Psalm 9:17; Revelation 21:7-8
Justification by Faith We believe and teach the doctrine of justification by faith alone. Romans 5:1
Sanctification We believe that sanctification is a work of grace through faith in Jesus Christ. John 15:2; Acts 26:18
Baptism of the Holy Spirit We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire, with the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. Luke 11:13; Acts 1:5; Acts 2:1-4; Acts 10:44-46
Divine Healing We believe in divine healing. Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:14-18; James 5:14-16
The Second Coming We believe in the imminent, second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; Titus 2:13; Matthew 24:29-44
The Great Commission We believe every believer should dedicate their life to carry out the work of the Great Commission. Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8
